At the 2010 K12 Facilities Summit, Thomas DeBolt the Superintendent of the Manassas Park City Schools gives an inspiring presentation about the amazing transformation of his school district. Over the past dozen years, Manassas Park’s schools have become the site of a dramatic makeover. Not only did the community support the replacement of every single square foot of every Pre-K-to-12 school and fundamentally reshape its instruction and curriculum – the process also transformed the core identity of the city itself. To date MPCS projects have received a total of 22 major design awards with its latest project Manassas Park Elementary School (LEED Gold certified) receiving a 2010 AIA Cote Award and a 2010 AIA CAE Award.
